I am a dedicated Family Medicine physician practicing in the vibrant and diverse city of New York. With a broad range of experience in clinical medicine, I am licensed to practice in New York State, where I provide comprehensive primary care across the age spectrum. My approach to medicine is patient-centered, focusing on holistic care that addresses the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of my patients.
Beyond the confines of a typical clinical healthcare setting, I am passionate about bringing medicine into the “streets” by working directly with communities to foster healing and well- being. I believe that true health extends beyond the walls of clinics and hospitals, and that community-driven approaches are essential to achieving holistic health outcomes.
To actualize this belief, I collaborate with two impactful nonprofits in Western Massachusetts that center healing within their missions. The first, Crossing the Waters, is a cultural exchange program that bridges communities in Massachusetts with those in Africa, fostering cross-cultural understanding and mutual healing practices. Through this work, I engage with diverse cultural perspectives on health and wellness, enriching my approach to patient care.
The second nonprofit, Kibilio, is an intentional community that views the community itself as the healer. At Kibilio, we prioritize collective healing and recognize the power of communal bonds in fostering health. My involvement with Kibilio allows me to explore and implement community-centered health initiatives, which I believe are vital in addressing the root causes of chronic conditions.
In addition to my community work, I have a strong background in medical education. I have actively contributed to curriculum development, lecturing, and the facilitation of clinical group visits, aiming to enhance the learning experience for both medical students and residents. My work in education reflects my commitment to shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals by sharing knowledge and fostering critical thinking.
My current professional interests are deeply rooted in the integration of psycho-emotional healing and plant-based medicine into conventional medical practice. I am particularly intrigued by the potential of these approaches to play a transformative role in the chronic care management of various diseases. By bridging clinical care with community-based initiatives, my goal is to contribute to a more holistic and inclusive approach to medicine that serves all aspects of human well-being.
