
Board Member & Program Coordinator
Raina Askew joins the Crossing the Waters Institute for Cultural Exchange (CTW) Board with over 25 years of experience in early childhood development and family care. A lifelong advocate for nurturing safe and enriching environments for children, she brings a compassionate and holistic approach to education and community wellness.
With more than 30 years of experience as a Doula and training in direct-entry midwifery, Raina has supported families through every stage of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. She is currently pursuing a degree in Ayurveda and Integrative Health at Maharishi International University (MIU), deepening her expertise in whole-system wellness and traditional healing practices.
As Program Coordinator at CTW, Raina helps design and implement educational initiatives that foster cultural connection, wellness, and intergenerational learning. Guided by her long-term goal of becoming a Naturopathic Physician, she is dedicated to empowering families and communities to thrive through culturally grounded, integrative approaches to health.
